Environment is huge. As creatives, especially, it determines way more than just how cool we look to our clients and friends. We have worked hard to convert what was once a boring office space with terrible fluorescent lighting into a great creative work environment. It's one of those things that's difficult to truly quantify into a value, but it's result is felt by everyone. The right lighting, music, aroma and temperature let you relax into whatever the task at hand is. Comfortable couches are necessary when you're tired of sitting at your desk and problem solving. Wood floors make the space feel more like home and let you forget that you are "working". We love creative spaces, and we really love ours. We'd love for you to stop by some time and experience it for yourself. Give us a heads up though if you're heading this way so we can make sure we have a fresh pot of coffee brewing.
If you were to stop by the BigBadCollabOffices, and we hope you do, you are guaranteed to walk into a place filled with music. Music is what drives us, motivates us and we are not scared to crank it to 11. Below you will find the 50 most listened to albums from last week and an up to the minute track list of what could be playing right now within the walls of the BigBadOffices.
Everyone knows what photography is and you probably take a good amount yourself. At BigBadCollab, we LOVE photography. We spend hours upon hours looking at others photos and love capturing the interesting things around us. Some of us take daily photos, while others shoot when the inspiration strikes. These are the things that we see that inspire us. These are the memories we grab. These are the things that were too funny for us not to take a picture of to share. Enjoy.
To say we love Apple is a bit of an understatement. It's in our hands, it's on our desks, it's in our saddlebags, it's running our 60" TV in the war room and it's tucked under our arms going to client meetings. Our wives, our kids, our friends...they all have Apple too. It's been this way for as long as we care to remember, and we're proud of it.
So many wins, its hard to narrow it to "the one". This one though, it rocked my world. The PowerMac G4 Cube made me fall in love with Apple design all over again.
I had used so many Apple products... even in the days when Mac users were the bane of computing (I took so much flack!) The LCII followed quickly by the Quadra took my productivity to a whole new level but the Cube showed me the design magic was intact and healthy. It was when I first truly started loving the design decisions.
I have so many fond memories of my little iMac G3 Grape. That sexy little beast was the first computer that was all mine. I got it my freshman year of college and remember getting the box back to my dorm room and just sitting and staring.
My very own Mac with an unbridled connection to the world wide web. As soon as I sat in front of that thing and fired it up I was done. That was it. From then on in I have only rocked Apple's, and man has it been an awesome journey. Call me a snob, call me a fan boy, whatever, just give me my Apple.
Looking back over the long years of my Apple Life, the defining, life changing moment was my purchase of a Powerbook G3 WallStreet. A very, very sexy little machine.
I had owned a number of Apple computers before then, but this one was different. For the first time I had the power and portability I needed to be creative anytime, anywhere. Who I am today, started that fall day. Thanks Steve.
